Stonehill Dining Room Christmas menu’s ready, coffee morning and more30 September, 2021

As I write it is 86 days until Christmas! A fabulous pre-Christmas and mouth-watering Christmas Day menu has been finalised by chef Marta with our apartment residents being able to book their Christmas Day lunches with their families and friends in the Stonehill Dining room from today. We can accept bookings from the public from 1st November for Christmas Day, pre-Christmas orders are being taken now from our residents and public alike…there, I’ve forgotten all about the sausage rolls now.

On Monday 11th October at 10.30 we will be hosting a free Coffee Morning with a talk from ‘Wealden Talking News’ in the Boughton Lounge of the Priory, thank you to Di and Sarah for arranging this. Wealden Talking News is a registered charity producing weekly memory sticks of news and features taken from the local papers together with a monthly magazine service – free of charge for the visually impaired. It produces 4 editions of news each week covering a wide area of East Sussex. Tea and coffee is available ‘on the house’.

The activities here at the Priory are building in numbers and popularity, we have Andy Marzetti’s chair extension exercises (seated and to an array of music) on a Monday, Yoga on Monday evenings with ACRES, Qui Gong (like Tai Chi I am told) on a Tuesday, Yoga with Grace and Bridge Club on Wednesday afternoon, Yarncraft is recommencing on 1st and 3rd Thursday morning of each month, Pilates on a Friday morning with Stacey and more activities in the pipeline! Quiz night is being planned as we speak. The care home has a host of activities each week for their residents which, due to current guidelines, cannot be made available to our apartment residents just yet.
