How lovely to see the daffodils in their vibrant yellow shades and the many crocuses flowering in carpets of purples, blues, whites and yellows. It feels like we are emerging from some very dark days into a new bright springtime.
Activity at the Holy Cross Priory village is increasing steadily, almost in-time with the lengthening of the days. Our dining room reports that we have been visited many new customers as word is getting out of how good the food is and in such pleasant environs. I’m certain that hosting the Waldron Community market (2nd Thursday of each month) goes some way in introducing new faces. We have started getting bookings for Mother’s Day already ( Sunday 27th March) where Marta will be adding some extra treats to the menu.
We have started to show films again in the function room for our independent living residents, scrabble is about to restart for all in the lounge on Friday mornings, Mahjong with U3A have booked extra days each month with us but we are still looking for Bridge players to come and join in on Weds afternoons. Gentle exercising to music (mainly seated) continues with Andy Marzetti each Monday morning and Qui Gong classes continue with Alan Strong Tuesdays, as well as Pilates and yoga on several weekdays. We do still have a few slots free if anyone would like to run a Zumba class ???
