One of the most famous Opera of all time, Verdi’s Aida, arrives in Heathfield for three days on the 13/15/17 of October.
South Downs Opera in conjunction with the Heathfield Choral Society presents this four act opera, composed in 1871 and set in ancient Egypt.
Accompanied by piano, a brass ensemble and percussion, South Downs Opera will perform some of the composer’s greatest and most memorable music, including the arias Celeste Aida, Ritorna Vincitor and O Patria Mia.
The international theatre designer, Terry Parsons has designed the set and with a professional cast of 23, an additional chorus of 70 recreating the spectacular atmosphere of Ancient Egypt they are bound to bring the house down.
The price of tickets is £15 and includes programme and interval refreshments. Concessionary price of £10 applies to students in full time education and unemployed actively seeking work.
