I feel very lucky to be at Holy Cross Priory. I feel very settled and contented. It's very friendly and it's great to be part of everything and have the grounds to exercise in. I know I can always call for help if I need it too.
At the end of my first year in residence, I am totally pleased with the set-up. There is a real community which still respects ones privacy, peace, security, and the blessing of beautiful surroundings.
We can now see how the site is developing and once the grounds have been landscaped and paths completed, this will be a truly joy-filled place! Am looking forward to renewed access to the park and lake.
Today, the gardeners have planted out, with a variety of flowering shrubs, the bank between the Care Home and the Priory. It is obvious that it will be a real delight once they have rooted and matured. If this is a sign of things to come, I shall be very pleased!
Holy Cross Priory is a tranquil place where community and support are paramount and it is a wonderful place to retire to.
From Patricia Hunt
In November 2012 we came to live at Holy Cross Priory. Moving as we all know can be quite stressful and when the time came for us to make this important decision we did feel a little anxious about moving to a different area and making new friends. On the day we arrived here we received a warm welcome from the sisters, staff and residents and knew we had made the right decision.
Residents can participate in the various indoor-outdoor activities. We enjoy taking part in them as they keep us fit and healthy.
We are a married couple and highly recommend living here, in this tranquil setting in the midst of a kind and caring community.
